We are a hard working club, who raises funds through three main events in order to turn around and give to local youth organizations. These include:
PANCAKE BREAKFAST AT WAGON DAYS
PAPOOSE HOLIDAY BAZAAR
WEBB PLANT EXTRAVAGANZA
We depend not only on our members to volunteer to make this possible, but organizations we give to and the community at large. Whether your a member, grant recipient or community members, click here for our current volunteer opportunities.
To support educational, cultural, and athletic growth for children of the Wood River Valley
Papoose Club is open to everyone and welcomes new members throughout the year. The Club holds a special New Members event every September in an effort to recruit new members to the club, but new members can join at any time. Please contact us if you’d like to join the Club.
What’s expected of me if I join?
Annual membership dues are $20. Members are expected to attend meetings as often as their schedule permits and commit to working at least two events per year.
How often does the membership meet?
Papoose Club meetings are generally held on the fourth Monday of every month (excluding June and July). Members also get together when volunteering at Papoose Club Events, which are held at various times throughout the year.
What happens at meetings?
Meetings typically begin at 7pm, with business starting at 7:10. At each meeting, representatives of organizations requesting funds from Papoose Club make presentations outlining their needs. Club members then deliberate and vote on these requests. The remainder of the meeting is spent discussing various points of business, including upcoming events and fundraisers.
Who’s in the Club?
Papoose Club’s membership is a diverse group of dynamic, community-minded, action oriented people. Over time, our membership roster has included school board members, professionals, stay-at-home moms, teachers, philanthropists, PTA presidents and civic leaders. What all Papoose Club members have in common is a strong commitment to kids and building community.
